Truly enjoyed being right by the seafront by the pier, town center, and various shops and restaurants thanks to the great and stunning location. We had a perfect and tidy room with walk-in showers.

The staff was welcoming, everything was good. In addition, the parking was nearby. The location a minute walk from city centre was marvellous. Besides, the area was fairly nice, next to War Memorial. The downstairs bar was nice!

The special rate (£30 a night), good value for money - especially as I happened to get a twin room even though had only paid for a single; the location and the view (I could see the pier and the seafront from my room). When booking this wasn't a deciding factor for me, however, as my friend had already booked his room at this hotel and I wanted to stay at the same one. • cheeky seagull who kept peeping into my room (309) when I arrived and then in the early hours of the morning, he wouldn't stop pecking the window till I had drawn the curtains so that he could see into the room! (I'm sure it was the same one both times.)
•Only one problem really and that was the seating arrangement at the breakfast table - you weren't free to take just any table, only the one with your name on it and were kind of forced to have a conversation with other people at the same table (one of the other three was my friend though). •Perhaps a minor inconvenience was the fact that you couldn't order hot drinks at the bar in the evenings although that turned out to be the case with a few other hotels nearby, too.

We stayed in Eastbourne overnight to attend tennis tournament which was being held only 10 minutes walk away. Located near pier, just off main promenade. Hotel was dated, but clean and good value for money. Reasonable breakfast.. friendly staff. Would stay again. Street parkng available at hotel, but meters start at 8 am. To avoid getting up to see to parking, hotel supplied permit which allowed free parking until 11 am
10.30 check out a bit early.
